Born
in Ottawa, Pierrette Dulude-Bohay first studied visual arts in 1953 at
the Ottawa Municipal art Center (now the
Ottawa School of Art). She later attended the Schneider School
of Art in Actinolite,Ontario and has studied with numerous renowned national
and international artists.
Since
1982 she has chosen watercolor as the medium best suited to capture the
moods and subtleties of our grand Canadian landscape. She prefers to paint
on location in order to better convey the feeling of place and atmosphere.
Her search for locations has taken her from Newfoundland to British Columbia,
into the United States and in France.
Pierrette
has been featured in newspapers and national publications, as well as
on television. She has won a number of prestigious awards and her work
can be found in many public and private collections in Canada, as well
as in England, Spain, Japan, Bermuda and many parts of the United States.
Pierrette
has studied and continues to work with many national and international
artists. She paints on location and in her studio with a lovely northern
exposure providing a continuous source of inspiration.
